At Ride to Work Ministry Nonprofit, Inc., we know that reliable transportation can mean the difference between staying stuck and moving forward.
Many of the people we serve are working hard to rebuild their lives after job loss, personal hardship, or other setbacks. They find employment, show up for work, manage their finances, and work toward becoming self-sufficient. But without reliable transportation, getting to work can remain one of the biggest obstacles standing in their way.
That’s where your vehicle can make a difference.
If you have a used car, truck, or moped that is still running—or can be made safe and roadworthy—we invite you to consider donating it to Ride to Work.
Your vehicle can help someone in Oconee County get to work, maintain employment, and take another important step toward independence.
How It Works
You Donate
Donate your vehicle to Ride to Work. We handle the necessary paperwork and provide documentation for your tax-deductible donation.
We Inspect
Every donated vehicle is inspected for safety by a qualified mechanic. If necessary, we make safety-related repairs to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
Our focus is safety and reliability—not cosmetic restoration. We don’t need to repair every dent, scratch, or minor convenience item. Our priority is making sure the vehicle is safe for someone who depends on it to get to work.
We Match
Once a vehicle meets our safety standards, we work to match it with a local Ride to Work client who has demonstrated reliability, has employment, and is working toward self-sufficiency.
Why Your Donation Matters
- You help someone get to work. Reliable transportation can make the difference between keeping a job and losing one.
- You support local families. Your donation helps someone in our community move forward after a difficult season.
- You strengthen our local workforce. When people can reliably get to work, they have a better opportunity to remain employed and become self-sufficient.
- You make a meaningful, tax-deductible donation. Your vehicle can have a direct and lasting impact right here in Oconee County.
Every Vehicle Can Be a Lifeline
Your old vehicle may not be worth keeping in your driveway—but it could be exactly what someone else needs to get to work.
