2026 marks the 10th year that Ride To Work Ministry Nonprofit Inc. has been serving Oconee County, SC. Ride to Work provided the first ride to work in February 2017. Since then here are some major milestones that have been surpassed:
- Over 20,500 rides to or from work have been provided
- Over 420 local individuals have used Ride To Work to get/keep a job
- Over 200 of these riders have graduated (kept their job and found their own way to work)
- About 80% of graduates are still working a year after graduating, many with promotions and/or better jobs
- Over 100 local employers have been able to hire or retain employees due to Ride To Work services
In addition in 2025 Ride To Work Ministry Nonprofit Inc. was recognized by the South Carolina Secretary of State with a prestigious Angel Award for making a significant contribution to the well being to the people of South Carolina while demonstrating good stewardship of charitable resources.
